Kevin van der Brug (1972), professional photographer, artist and art teacher works and lives in Amsterdam. He is specialised in taking portraits of people. He likes to create an honest, pure and strong photo of a person who is posing in his studio. His photographic style is classical yet with a contemporary approach. The photos are being made in the photo studio or on location. Besides personal work he does commercial photography assignments for various companies and organisations.
From 1992 to 1995 Kevin studied Graphic Design at School of Arts in Utrecht. In 1995 Kevin decided to do Fine Arts, and graduated in 1997 as a Fine Artist.
Because he felt attracted to the medium photography more and more, he began his studies in photography at the Academy of Photography in Amsterdam in 1999. He graduated in 2004 (cum laude).
In 2010 he graduated at the School of Arts in Amsterdam as an Art Teacher. From 2012 to 2020 he worked as a freelance art teacher for the Cobra Museum of Modern Art in Amstelveen and gave creative art workshops to adults and children (6-12 years old).
Kevin has been studying for and working as a landscape gardener since 2020. He still likes to photograph on commission.
